Keith Murphey is an American comic book artist, writer, and publisher. He attended Paier College of Art and graduated in June of 1996,with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. Keith was a student of NYC illustrator Timothy O’Brien and studied under Silver Age artist Frank McLaughlin.
Upon graduation he did work for Blue Comet Press.
In the fall of 2000,he founded the Comicbook Artists Guild with the help of his friend and partner Robert King. Numerous branches soon opened in NYC and Massachusetts. The first CAG anthology was published in the fall of 2001. The anthology became a bi-annual book in the summer of 2007 with the release of the CAG West Coast Anthology. The publication of the books led to several of Keith’s original stories including Zombie Hunters, Silliman Farm, The Commander, and Rockabilly Rex.
2009 has proven to be a successful year for Keith and his artistic endeavors. Hell’s Blood #3 created by his business partner and friend, Hector Rodriguez, the duo’s first full-length project received a warm reception.
Past published works include Killer Cortez in Free Lunch Comics’ Beyond the Kuiper Belt.
He served as co-inker and Art director on Sky Pirates of Valendor, also by Free Lunch Comics.
Also, he served as Art Director for CAG’s first graphic novel Iconic volume 1 and volume 2.
In addition he wrote and drew a story in the new GWP zombie anthology: WORST CASE SCENARIO: OUTBREAK!
Born in Ponce,Puerto Rico, Hector’s family moved to NYC where he spent his early childhood years and from the city’s news stands he started his journey into comic books and art.
He was drawing from as early as kindergarten and when his mother moved them to Holyoke, Massachusetts in the summer of ’78, his love of art and comics followed.
His teenage years were spent drawing everything and anything having to do with comic books and graffiti while attending Holyoke High School.
His love for comic books soon resurfaced and he was at it again, self taught for the most part. It wasn’t until he met Ven Yann in the 90′s that he started getting really serious about creating his own comic book. Learning what he could from Ven, the two found a Connecticut based group called the Comicbook Artists Guild, where he met Keith Murphey, the co-founder of the guild.
Working as a team, Murphey and Hector started a partnership which helped both creators’ talents grow and together they produced various projects. Starting with short stories for Guild Works Productions’ book Psychosis 1 and 2.
Hector then moved on to do a kid’s book called Mandie Pandie for Sam Vera’s Crazee Comics and eventually completed his own book, Hell’s Blood, where the story opens with a shot of Holyoke City Hall.
Hector lives in Western Massachusetts with his beautiful wife and gorgeous daughter.

Divine Authority Comics
Titles: “Midnight Warriors”, “-Girl!”, “Killing The Habit”
I’ve always been an avid Comic Book Reader & Collector, predominantly Marvel, and love Writing.
Several of my artist cousins remembered I always had all these elaborate plots and adventures going on when we would play with action figures, so when they started to get closer to professionalism, they asked me to write something original for them. Fairly quickly, one idea branched to another, and before you knew it, I was plotting out entire storylines of an ongoing series.
We eventually decided to go beyond the route of just sample work, why not just bypass the middle men, and start printing our own books? At first it was a very amateur approach, completely B&W magazine-sized Comics printed at Staples, but with all of the resources that eventually became available on the Web, we now have professional-quality books. We eventually became established as the publishing icon Divine Authority Comics, and I am personally responsible for all of the tasks associated with editing, lettering, & publishing, as well as most of our Scripting.
Within the last several years, I have primarily worked with Artists online from all over the World, and coordinate everything to reach a finished book.
I have worked with so many talented artists with some truly amazing artwork to complement my writing.
It is a great feeling to get our ideas out there, it isn’t about profits, & we enjoy doing it! This was originally a way to get our foot in the door with a larger Publisher, but has become so much more!

For those who are curious, the Fraims are identical twins and Brendon is the penciler and Brian is the inker. And if you want to know which twin is the evil twin, the answer is simple. They’re both evil.

K Studio began as a hobby by artist Travis Leichssenring, who already had numerous titles under his belt, that turned into a business. Being a gamer himself Travis noticed that there was a gap between role-playing gamers and their characters that had been ignored by the
gaming companies. The gap was that players had to verbalize their character descriptions and this usually led to confusion and something more terrible, the player drawn character sketch. Travis realized that a unifying organization could fill that gap and bring beauty and awe to gamers and their characters in a productive and inspiring way. He believed that an organization such as K Studio would improve the quality of game play for all persons involved.
Travis quickly established K Studio and within months found himself buried in the joy of his artwork. Several character orders flooded in
but something still nagged at him. Until Travis realized there was still one more important member of the gaming community still left adrift alone in the sea of gaming. The game masters (GM's) had also been left out by the community at large. Yeah sure there were gaming supplements but they were one size fits all. There was nothing that catered to the his particular style of play, until now. K Studio took
up the call to support the gamers of the world with not only quality images and detailed maps but expert writing support. K Studio brought
onboard Belida Hon Uckun to take control of the writing assistance department. With his leadership in this department the pipeline quickly filled with projects. Two popular supplement had been released Denizens I and Denizens II: Biaxial System with several more
still to follow. K Studio wanted to provide a service to help gamers and allow the gaming community to thrive, and unlock the artistic potential of every gamer.
With the success of the first phase of the company's development, Travis decided to open a third department to the company, the writer's
studio. Travis understood the plight of many writers and their attempts to publish or even self-publish and wanted to do something about it. Three years after opening its doors for business K Studio began to assist writers with getting their books published. W.E. Zazo-Phillips was one of the first to jump at the chance. Her first book was published in late July 2010 and several more are waiting to follow. K Studio stepped into the ring of publishing as a small publisher and is looking to increase its standing in the industry.
K Studio is always looking to assist others from players to game masters to small gaming companies looking to get their first product out. We are tech support for gamers.
